Toyota Taps Into The Younger Market With The All New 2011 Scion TC
The 2011 Scion TC has been redesigned and offers new and exciting changes including a much more powerful engine, flashy 18” alloy wheels, larger brakes, new transmissions and a new power electronic steering system. The Scion TC is a hatch back two door coupe that is in demand with younger automotive shoppers in the twenty-something year old range due to its price range and sporty look. The average age of a Scion buyer is twentysix years. What’s unique about the Scion is that it offers lots of cool gadgets and the ability for drivers to customize their ride, something that is very appealing to many buyers.
Power has been increased with the help of a 2.5 V4 engine with 180 HP and 173 lb feet of torque. This should be more than ample power for the average person. The updated transmission consists of a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic one which replace the 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. This new engine will offer better gas mileage and also be paired with a sport-tuned exhaust system. Fuel economy stands at 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the freeway. This car can go from 0-60 mph in less than 8 seconds, which is decent considering the affordable base price of around $19k.
The cabin is comfortable and includes many thoughtful features to make your ride as enjoyable as possible including a tilt steering wheel and the plush sport front bucket seats which are one inch wider than the older ones. The standard Pioneer audio system had earned great reviews for its clear and powerful sound and includes a subwoofer and 8 speakers which output 300 watts. This is comparable to audio systems found in much more expensive luxury cars. The audio system is compatible with most MP3 players plus it is even possible to customize the audio face plate. There is also a huge panoramic sunroof and convenient keyless entry for your convenience.
The Scion TC was built with safety forefront and includes many safety mechanisms such as side curtain and knee air bags, seatbelt pre-tensioners and 3 point anchor seat belts, a brake assist system, electronic brake force distribution and a tire pressure monitoring system. The exterior panels of the car also functions to absorb energy during an accident. The base price of the Scion TC is around $19k and may fluctuate depending on the type of transmission and options chosen. The automatic transmission is a bit more expensive versus the manual one. If you are looking for an affordable car with an cool look and an incredible sound system then definitely consider the Scion. subwoofer power?
i have an 1800 watt amp and and 2 12 inch matrxx subs and they are clearly not powerful enough. i drive an 03 nissan altima, what would be the absolute highest amount of power i can safely pack in to my car without blowing out my windows or trunk?
there is no limit, you could easily put 10 grand into your system and still be far from blowing out your windows
you would past the electrical capabilities of the car before you blow anything out
